So we’ve been here before — the last time we played a Pac 12 school as a matter of fact! Last time it was Cal punter Dylan Klumph (apparently his real name!) talking about ending our “so called winning streak.”*
This time the at least the smack talk culprit had the good sense to be a non-punter, so we’re moving up in the world. Anyway here’s Sun Devils DB J’Marcus Rhodes and his subtle blend of Power Five arrogance and misplaced confidence.
Honestly, that’s really not so bad. It was more of an IRL subtweet than outright trash talk.
Nevertheless, a couple issues here. One: Maybe shut down literally anyone, and then talk mess? Last week NEW MEXICO STATE rolled to 31 points and more than 500 yards against Rhodes and his extremely dominant pals. Guess it’s a good thing they were so dominant, as the Sun Devils won by only six.
Two: Making Rashaad Penny angry is probably not the best of ideas.
